Hint, do the hyper drive blueprints before you jump in your pre-order ship.....new ships to purchase may not have hyper drive and without the blueprints you cant make one

I mean... you kinda have to mine to stay alive and to get from planet to planet. So that's not really a surprise or anything.

And anyone who's been following the development of the game for a considerable time or anyone who's been watching the game play knows there's a lot more to the game than just that. Is it gonna be like a traditional game that has a plot or quests etc? Absolutely not. But it's certainly not as bland as you describe it. The people on the NMS reddit page seem to be having a blast.

Furmark at 2560x1440 as follows:
GTX970 ..Min 42fps, max 45, avg 44, max temp 71 C.
GTX1070 Min 60fps, max 65, avg 64, max temp 68 C.
Noise is the same as in barely audible.
I'm so stoked.

Haven't stopped playing NMS since I got home at 3pm... What a game

I almost ate shit when a heat storm came out of nowhere and my jetpack wasnt enough to get me out of this valley I was in. Luckily there was a cave nearby that stabilized the temp or I would have been dead.
