there is a thread on OFT greemspeed intake:

look through, get that rom, and copy over the maf scaling
I'm using Ecutek for tuning. I was just curious who did the scaling upload on the first post. It's not a big deal as the person that tunes me will have the scaling done after a few 3rd gear WOT pulls.

And no, I would not walk into a bar and say that. I just happen to like the Camaro a lot and really look forward to the new one. I love my FR-S just as much.

your answer seems to be too serious, so fyi that was a joke if it wasn't clear, and just in case apologies if it offended you.

it actually doesn't matter what you use for tuning, EcuTek also allows you to open unencrypted roms. So you could simply copy MAF table into your own tune and give it a shot, see for yourself if it meets what you'd want to see in your trims.

All good sir! I'll check it out and compare it against my results.

Question regarding vgi tool:

I've logged IAT and anytime I try to load it into the VGI tool it says: "Intake Air Temperature" value must be specified
Any ideas why it is saying this even though I've clearly logged it and confirmed this via the log.

if you logging with oft and maybe other devices remove any unncessaty lines from start of log but leave the line in that specifies parameters. for oft logs remove first 3 lines i think.

also when importing the log to vgi utuility you get th option to confirm the input colum values make sure you do this sothe utility selectsxthe correct colums foryour data log.

Sorry, I should have stated that I was using OFT to log. I deleted the first 3 lines already and I'm in the "Load Log" screen where column values are assigned. Intake Air Temperature is the only value that the program is rejecting for me. I've tried reinstalling program with no luck.

check the data for iat and make sure it looged correctly, not trying to be an ass but check your not selecting iam column. Their is also filter parameters where you can filter iat data make sure the filter values are reasnoble.

Most definitely logging IAT, OFT log has it listed as "Intake Air T." so I know it is correct. Values range between 77 and 105. The filter section has the IAT Maximum set to the default 300.

This is more of a practice log to see if I can get the program setup for a log I plan to run on Saturday. If I can't get it to take this log, I'll try again then.

Thanks for the help!

next time you should tag me so i'd get a notification

sorry, mate, there was a bug which displayed a wrong column name for the error. What you actually did not specified is the "CL/OL Status". It's been fixed and will be in the next release.

Hey @steve99 - big thanks to you for posting so much info/FAQ in this and many other threads. I'm just starting to learn the world of tuning and I'm completely lost but I'm picking up the pieces little by little by reading most of your threads.

Thanks everyone else too for contributing...trying to learn as much as possible without asking noobish questions.

This thread is awesome! So much great info. Thanks to @steve99 and @vgi for a superb tool.

My MAF scaling is quite accurate on the CL side. I average about 0.8% LTFT.

The dilemma now is this. I go to tune the OL side of things and do a bunch of WOT runs. When I looked at the logs, I can see my Commanded AFR is around 10.5, but the Measured AFR is 12.1. I assume is due to the O2 sensor limitations and not an error in the MAF scaling. Since I have this limitation, I won't be able to properly scale the MAF sensor.

I am runnings AVO turbo btw. Is there a way I can get around this limitation? Or should I just fork out the $500 to have my tuner rescale the MAF?

Thanks!

yes stock front 02 sensor is not wideband so wont accuratly measure rich afr and its scale finishes at 12.1 stock scale.

you could put a proper wideband in second o2 position.
