I doubt you will find the TRD tips only. I was thinking more along the lines of ones you will find at autostyle etc.

Hey peeps, anyone got a dyno sheet to show what stock looks like over the TRD quads?

Also, what is the flow in the box? Reason for asking is if we get the box and attach it to a larger pipe and a header, will the box work more efficiently?

TRD doesn't really give much more performance. It's only a slightly smaller box than the oem.
Bigger pipes should increase performance either way

It provides a slightly gruffer exhaust note and is very pretty.

But at R22 588 as per (http://www.toyota.co.za/ranges/86#accessories/86M) they can go jump. Best is to hunt for a the twin tip, locally manufactured (De Graaf - they won't sell direct btw) BRZ OE exhaust. Subaru claim 7kW but have no charts to prove it. That said it sounds amazing and is cost effective. Several people have converted them to quad tip.

If you really want any power increase you will need to look at headers and a tune to support them.

So you saying those exhaust pieces are actually De Graaf pieces? Who would have thought.

I must admit the TRD pieces do look better, I don't care if it's rice for some. But I would like to know what the specs are.

At just having a box, it's madness to pay that amount of money, but would like to know what the inlet size is of that box too. If it can match up to a 3" pipe, then it may just be a nice piece to have if getting a 2012-2013 model 86 std which isn't that much anymore.

Search for used, most have tossed in favour of De Graaf unit, which isn't easily available anymore sadly. Knowing what I know, I am very glad I bought new in 2012.

I know what you mean. People driving the cars but not knowing about SA's fuel type on the car's performance. All that things.

That's why it's best to see who the first owners were. Most people who buy these cars are bought for trust funds or promotional purposes. Not that bad. But I will get one from an old timer.

It's just a direct bolt on muffler, there will be zero performance gain. You can hardly tell the difference in sound between TRD and stock, it simply looks pretty but that's all.

@Griffon-WP this was my research and results when I bought my car. TRD exhaust is not worth it, unless you don't care, but you must, else you wouldn't be asking questions .
