2016 Subaru STi

So they may change up the design, closer to the concept according to this article:

Believe it when I see it. The concept looks so great when compared to production. The production version was even starting to grow on me until I saw those concept photos again.

I like the wheels, door handles, headlights etc. I don't like the rear roof line and door/window shape. It looks like most concept vehicles, exaggerated to some extent and taking the design beyond practical for esthetics (rear roof line).

I like my 2015 WRX.

I'm pretty sure that article is reusing WRX concept (2013?) pictures which ended up becoming the 2015 WRX...

Right, the article says that the '16 MY will closer resemble the concept that lead to the '15 WRX/STi.

You caught my derp moment

Ishii stated that "Yes, we have taken the next-generation Impreza’s design in a new direction that we are sure will excite the marketplace. We are planning to give the lower section below the hip line a wider, more substantial stance and narrow up the roof section."
I hope they also leverage more of the concept taillight design language as well... (with the understanding that concept light / trunk geometry isn't currently functional)

I'm so glad the 2015 WRX reviews are exactly how I pictured it. Performance, handling, and power is all there, but the damn thing still looks like a Camry on the sides with nothing aggressive about it. The front maybe slightly, but that's it.

You make the 2016 STi like that 2015 STi concept, I will be selling my FR-S. Just like the person said above, I gotta see it to believe it because as of late, these concept cars have really been changed a lot.

The beltline, taillights, high fenders and front overhang kill it for me.
I actually prefer the bugeye to this by a wide margin

Subaru dealers already have the ugly
version their fancy comps to pick options... I went for fun and test drove a 2014 sti and the guy showed me the new one and I was thinking there is the death of the sti....

Imagine if mitsu and suby took note of what they did right in 03 to 06 and remade those beautiful rides again ... evolution 8 and subaru sti 05 or 06... Yum

The older WRX/STI were "ok". However their latest offerings are just pure butt ass ugly IMO.

There's no way they're going to completely redesign and retool the assembly line after just one year in production. Even the Tribeca took a couple of years for the redesign to take effect. But this is an STI, and it will have no problems selling regardless. The other day I saw three 2015s during my lunch break.

Maybe if they actually make the STI its own model, and not an Impreza variant. I'd love to be proven wrong. It makes no sense though.
