I'm almost positive it's going to be a production version of the T25 or T27 now. The design was sold to a large manufacturer. It could easily be Toyota.

I MIGHT actually be interested if they did two things:

1. Transform the design to not be ugly as fuck like the T25/T27.

2. Not limit it to 65mph like the T25/T27.

The general idea of it, a tiny, light, single-seater with central driving position and instrument panel could be very cool..... but only if it's pulled off in a way that isn't reminiscent of a smart car.

But yeah, this thing was designed in the UK, it's being unveiled next week in the UK, and the screenshot even looks to have the same sort of taillights... Seems to be what it is.

"fun to drive" as in sports car or golf cart? because the T25 looks like nothing but a street legal golf cart smh

I don't think it's that golf cart. I think it's something based on the TES concept:

Note the round tail light hint in the OP's link:

Could be evolved from this:

The concept was a little ugly. Let's see if they fixed that.

Also, think about the rest of the things they're saying... radically different... making a contribution to the world... being unveiled in the UK (obviously has some significance), etc.

The T25 is even mentioned in this article about it:

Yeah, but they also said "fun-to-drive," not "totally-stupid-looking-deathtrap."

As for "radically different," that golf cart isn't and hasn't been for a long time. The Smart long since filled that niche in the mainstream, and there were others before it that didn't even do as well as Smart.

I can hold out hope that they still have some sense.

Unfortunately not everybody's definition of "fun to drive" is the same as ours!
A good part of the Smart Car's initial marketing was based on how "fun to drive" it was going to be.
Drove one once and not only was it not "fun" but I was scared to death half the trip.

Well, what definitions are there?

I think most of us here would consider a car that handles like a mofo to be fun to drive.

Probably the majority of the US population would consider a car with straight line power fun to drive.

Then you have the off-roaders who consider a truck that can tackle any terrain fun to drive.

I don't think I've heard many people say they enjoyed driving a golf cart. I guess Prius owners have fun hypermiling, but that's because they enjoy being assholes and pissing off everyone else while they smugly teach us all a lesson about environmental responsibility, not because the car is actually fun to drive.

I'm having a hard time believing that T25 handles well enough to satisfy us, has enough power to satisfy the straightliners or has any other attributes that would actually make it fun to drive. If Toyota thinks that thing is fun, they haven't learned anything at all from the 86.

Hope it won't turn out into something like a 420 PS Yaris Hybrid-R disappointment.

Oh you are preaching to the choir on that!
I can not possibly define what is fun about them for you as I did not prepare their marketing plan.
From my experience driving it the only way I could call it "fun" was in the whole roller coaster "OH my god I am going to die" kind of way!
