Ah, i was just going off what your website said about no peak HP gained, just some filling in of the torque dip.

The axleback produces almost no peak HP but fills in the valley that is typical of this new direct injected boxer 4.

Jason, I would love to see the dyno with just the catback vs stock, please post it.

Where are the big gains on exhaust anyways? I thought perhaps the stock catback was the most restrictive.

Thanks!

Holy crap, guys! Why haven't you posted pics of your in house tips on here???

That is a coloured tip I would go for.

A black powder coated system, with just the HAZ masked off for that tiny bit of colour on the black. Would look incredible on a monochrome car.

Heh the somewhat frustrating part is the results are pretty much all over the place. Some say 0 gain, some like Perrin are around 5-6WHP/8Ft-lbs. Most others are in the 4-6WHP area with 2-3ft-lbs torque gain.

Nameless did some original testing on replacing the midpipe and saw no gain, when Perrin replaced it with a 2.5" pipe that's where they saw most of their gain...

The post I did find said just the axleback made around 3whp. Replacing the cat section with a high flow one along with the axleback netted 11whp. Which is interesting because when Perrin replaced that section with a catless pipe they saw less gain, around 5whp over the catback with a marginal torque increase.

Replacing the factory last cat with a high flow or deleting it altogether definitely seems to improve torque across the whole powerband.

OK I've got a couple days of testing the new version. Love it. Great tone, not too quite. Quite and zero drone at highway speeds.

Here is a short video accelerating onto the freeway tonight with the windows up. Car is bone stock except for the Axle Back and the oil filler cap.
