I do remember people asking to use that logo for other prints or on license plate frames but no vendors would do it because of 'intellectual property' since it was designed by JR himself.

Club Lexus, another forum I'm on, used to have a Club Lexus decal as well which borrowed the "L" logo from Lexus and eventually they had to stop selling it due to the design infringing on Lexus's design.

Just something to think about for whomever is thinking of printing of these, I'd hate for you to get in trouble for doing something with good intentions for our community.

In any case, I'd be in for 1 or 2, depending on what the design ends up being.
If we did the same design but without the ".com" at the end of the ft86club part could we print them?

Dude read just a few posts more in the thread, you have to get it approved by the mods...

Also it would take too much logistics and organization, first you'd have to get all the submissions together, narrow them down, then get them approved, then spend money to get them printed and obviously as such it would cost a lot of personal time and money. If it's gonna happen it's not gonna be a competition lol, it's gotta be someone doing a design on there own and finding the resources to print them.

Actually FRSB you missed the joke there. This is a forum where week long debates will go on about tire pressure and is probably one of the most competitive forums I have ever been on. Do we really think we can get any form of consensus on a sticker? I like the idea of the competition but as you said the logistics are huge and agree that somebody going ahead and just doing it would work better. Now of course there will be a pile of people that don't like the result no matter what is done.

I don't think that's going to happen. The best case scenario is that someone just takes this on, and removes the "ft86club.com" from the sticker and makes them available for the plebeian masses here.

Kind of clear that the mods aren't going to get behind this, but id be happy to be wrong here.

Hm... We'll see. At this moment, I have too many things on my plate, BUT I'll look into some kind of alternative

Lots of other guys that can do it Itchi. No reason you need to. You may have to assist with getting permission but I would think that is about it.

Yeah, that is all I'm asking for- FT86Club stickers. You gotta show up at the expo to get expo stickers. I'm absolutely ok with that.

I think if someone is able to pass these by the mods for approval, and are selling them for at or near cost, it's nice to promote the site isn't it?

I started putting together a few mocks, but realized mid way that the designs may not translate well to a decal / sticker so will probably go back to the drawing board...

- Never finished the "FT" on the first one was debating tailing off the F into an exhaust pipe, looking at it again probably would have made more sense to have the FT as solid block letters rather than the outlines...
- Second logo was just thrown together since first was incomplete...
- Wanted to add more detail to the tach / fix needle, but got lazy...
- edit: Original plan was to use the tach and maybe make another dial below to make the "8" in 86... Once again got lazy though...

Demonstration of the blown engine range?

Still to busy for my tastes. Simple is better. Not interested in something that only an insider can decipher.

If the engine isn't about to blow you're not going fast enough.

I'm usually partial to logos that only consist of text, so my next go will probably be entirely text based...
