Hmmm...I'll let you know

haha, sorry buddy! It was a spur of the moment thing, and I was late getting back because of the slow cars. I have the route and everything timed out for exactly an hour, would push me over that if met up someone else first.

Epic One Lap Bay Area drive today with @PMok. 235 miles and 8 hours later (including breaks), we circled the entire Bay Area, via the "fun" roads whenever possible It was a test of driver patience and endurance, and mechanical durability, especially for modified cars in today's heat. Great driving, @PMok!

And before anyone asks, we took 101 S to 84 because of the E85 station in Redwood city. If we had more time, we would have gone up Mt Hamilton and through Mines. Oh well, next time...

I took a few pics, but @PMok probably has better ones, so I'll let him post his

Nice. Now go page your tuners and your equipment suppliers and tell them the good news. That is some mileage y'all logged.

For anybody interested, I plan on doing a drive up to the Mt. Tam peak tmrw morning. Details below:

Quote:
The route: http://goo.gl/maps/blzNQ

Meet at the parking lot across Fairfax Coffee Roastery at 8am, leave at 8:30am

Fairfax Coffee Roastery
4 Bolinas Road, Fairfax, CA 94930

Starting at the parking lot across Fairfax roast coffee
Down Bolinas Rd.
Left on Ridge Crest and work our way to the peak
Back down to Pan-Toll Rd. and back to Hwy 1
Work our way to Mill Valley for freeway back home

Route should take ~2 hrs. with a break at the peak.

Bring a full tank of gas and your FRS radios if you got em
Because of the later-than-usual start time, there WILL be cyclists and others on the road, so this will a nice brisk scenic cruise (as it always is with me leading )

Ohhh Mt Tam, for some reason I thought you meant Mt Hammy. Well I definitely want to go since I missed the last one, just figuring out my Saturday afternoon plans right now so I will let you know once I figure those out. Just got my springs installed so I'm anxious to give em a test.

As noted elsewhere, I'm going to be down in Monterey tomorrow, but I've added your drive to the calendar. I just did parts of Mt. Tam yesterday, the weather is perfect for a drive up there!

NorCal (Bay Area) DRIVE Chat Thread

I'm driving with a group of friends. We're starting Saturday afternoon in SF around 4pm down towards Palo Alto in the hills. Sunday morning we're waking in Fremont, following through Oakland, up to downtown SF, then heading north of golden gate for a day of driving up there. Let me know if you'd like to meet up along the way north of the bridge along the way. We have a few bikes coming along as well!
