Not yet man, im probably going to the track sunday and there will be scales there, im sure im lighter than stock since i took all the crap out of the rear and got rid of the heavy ass seat rails and sliders when i mounted my seats to the floor. My cage builder said its only around 45-50 pounds of tubing. Just my seat rails and sliders were more than that

Anyways I swinged by JMS Racing today and got my AP BBK installed.

Went with AP Competition race pads for the front and project MU Club Racer for the rear. After doing the bed in procedure on the pads my car sounds like a UPS truck coming to a stop but i dont care the amount of bite is amazing, cant wait to test them out at the track . If you dont like the sound you can always switch between race and street pads in breeze.

Who says JMS does not setup cars for the twisties!! Props to the guys @ JMS for setting up my car!

Old Front Rotor oem rotor and Front Ferrodo DS2500 Pads after 2 track days:

i can't believe how bad this car eats rotors with track pads, and normal pads on track.

Swapping pads in and out for trackdays almost looks to be a must (my Hawk HP+ pads are eating my rptors OFF track) and BBKs are looking really tempting.

Interested to see how you get on with the AP Racing kit!

PS what lower aero kit are you running? Chargespeed?

As someone who would like to do something similar with their FR-S, I'm curious how much you have spent on parts so far? Somewhere around $5,000 - $7,000?

Also, any plans for Forced Induction?

I think im close to $20,000 invested just in parts, your comment made me get a calculator to see how much i have spent.

No plans for forced induction as of right now, i want to get used to the car as it is right now. Maybe in a couple of years i will go FI.

I was just at the track last weekend before i installed the brakes, unfortunately i forgot my camera bag and i could only run 5 laps CCW since there was a mazda event . The build has taken time but its finally ready to rip the track again. Ill probably be out there this weekend.

Here are a couple of pics taken by a friend while we were on our way to the track.

This thread makes me want to sell my race car and just play with the FRS... however seeing the rabbit hole you're spiraling down I'd say your eventual landing point is racing anyway. You've already crossed the point that it's not longer a comfortable or practical daily driver.

So I guess I'll keep the race car. Thanks Pcasso.. good talk!

You should turn it into a full track car, its so damn fun out there. Even though you wont believe me i still drive it on the street, i dont think the seats are uncomfortable or my suspension settings. Its fun to see the looks on peoples faces, they have no idea what car it is .

Met a new friend that drives a BRZ at a gas station the other night

I still pickup groceries in her every now and then
