Well mkivsoopra and I installed 25 row series 9 setrabs.

Did the 6.5k rpm 3rd gear on freeway for 20 mins in 70 F ambient. Couldn't get it above 207 F.

Did the same for 5 mins on a mountain pass (still freeway) to stress the motor even more. Saw it max out at 220 F. Coolant never went above 203 F.

A month or so ago I did this same test with the 13 row series 6 and a few weeks before that a 7" Mocal laminova. Saw 260 F in less than 10 mins on flat freeway in same 70ish ambient.
VERY interested in this, do you have any pics of the mounting of the 25 row series 9 setrab? We are working on a setup for our track car and this looks like it may fit the bill.

Thanks in advance.

I don't but I will snap one next time the bumper is off. It sandwithces right between the FMIC and the AC condensor.

Maybe @mkivsoopra has a pic?

After about 200F you start seeing 55-60PSI at 7000RPM
After about 210F you start seeing 49PSI at 7000RPM
After about 220F you start seeing 43-45PSI at 7000RPM
After about 230F you start seeing 40-45PSI at 7000RPM

After that, I had my two testers never rev past 6000RPM, on the track session is over.

Now with that said, I have two UOA after long track days showing no metals. But I think at least for me, I am going to hang up any longer sessions with this car going forward because of this.
Could you explain a little more about how you have the oil pressure sensor installed? All the solutions I've seen so far seem a little hackish, but I would like to get one.

Oil gallery plug by throttle body harness. Remove install new gallery plug with NBT threads, your choice of oil pressure sender with harness to interior to gauge, wire to fuse box.

Sure. As soon as I test it on track first.

For those who daily drive our cars, is there any concern with moisture accumulation in the oil? Ambient temps can be a max of 50-60 F around here come winter time. It's a given that other areas can be much lower.

Keep in mind there is a possibility to get the oil too cool. You want the oil to operate over 212F at least to "boil" off the water condensation that may be in the oil, hence why it's a good guideline to keep the oil around a specific operating temperature.

This is why I swapped out the 185F thermostat that came with my oil cooler kit for the 203F thermostat that Mocal sells. Keeps the temps in a happier place. Real easy to get to boiling point from there. All that being said, my car hibernates for the winter so I don't know what it would be like once the temperature dips below freezing.

That is the big issue, whats good for track is not good for street and vice versa.

It partially depends on where you're measuring oil temperature. Remember that while the oil temp sensor may read low, localized temps will still be higher; the oil is absorbing heat from the heads, engine itself, pistons, cylinder sidewalls, bearings, etc.

If you're just cruising around town, then you may not see temps high enough to boil off water, but the same would apply if you had the OEM FA20DIT cooler; the oil-water cooler stabilizes the oil at the temperature of the coolant, and you'd be sitting at around 195F or so without racing the engine.

If you want to make sure oil gets over 212F, just sit at high RPM for a minute or two (after the engine and oil are at fully warmed up!), and the temps will get there very quickly, particularly at low speeds.

I agree on the T-stat being key on these installs.

Although I would think most of the folks who need these big coolers don't drive gently on the street and would work it up to that 212-215 range easily
