PSA - Please be careful out there friends

Found this on Autoblog today. We've all gone fast, and most of us are very responsible. Still, with cars and hobbies like ours a lil reminder to be careful every now and then ain't so bad. 200kph = 124mph

http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/31/w...ulation-video/

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47e-I1vgGaM"]Hochgeschwindigkeits Crashversuche 200km/h / High speed crashtests 124mph - YouTube[/ame]

and

You will now be returned to your regularly scheduled hoonage. Thanks for watching.

Well that is about the lowest tech crash test I have ever seen. Don't know what they are trying to show other than really fast means big crash. Love the safety protocols of standing behind the box at the end of the ramp and then running away Justas the car get's there.

True. They probably couldn't find a pile of cinder blocks for it.
I will be at one of the most state of the art facilities in the world in about 2 hours and am going to show them this one. It should be good for a chuckle if nothing else.

I think you're on the right track. This isn't a crash test, but more of a crash demonstration with the point being to visualize that at 200/124, nothing is going to save you.

Nah, if she were driving she'd be going about 24 miles per hour.

Sadly (but proudly), my Asian GF would probably be safer, faster and better than many of us.

I love that guy's gleeful laughter at the end of the second video.

Here's the one that really gets me though. This is for all those stubborn people who think their 4000lb boat will fare better in a collision than those "flimsy modern cars". It's a generational thing mostly. My poor grandparents subscribe to this logic, bless their hearts...

I have always liked this vid and bet I have argued with 1,000 people about this over the years. Big and heavy does not equal safer.
