Searched re TRD exhaust and BRZ - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Still could not find exact answer. Lookin at used BRZ but want to put on TRD sways and exhaust which I assume is done at Toy dealer. Since these are roughly the same cars i would assume no problem with warranty etc?

U agree? Btw- only want TRD stuff.

You are correct. If installed by a Toyota dealer you should have no issue with warranty as they should fall into the "authorized service" category.
Now, that doesn't mean you won't have an issue with Subaru if they decide to play games but at least you would have some good ammo in a fight.

Warranty is not under consideration unless you are talking about warranty on TRD parts.

As a general rule, TRD parts warranty will only be applicable to the car it was originally intended for. Unless Subaru was being bought by Toyota corporate tomorrow, you will not be able to get the full TRD warranty if installed on a BRZ.

As for vehicle warranty, no one cares unless you have a legit warranty claim for something that may be affected by a performance modification installed.
