BRZ vs FR-S

I read somewhere, a review noted BRZ is prone to " Understeer " !
From my Exp seems common alignment setup for most Subaru's.
They said FR-S felt " More agile " !

That's the same thing I read from someone else on the board and it had me a bit worried. I'm trying to figure out if the driving dynamics will really be that different, or if it's one of those things that's only noticeable when driving the car to the limits.

A BRZ engineer did say the BRZ was set up to be more "stable" than the Toyota variant, and iirc a Toyota engineer said their version was geared towards greater neutrality in cornering thanks to slightly different strut and spring tunings. But you probably would not notice the differences on the road until you are pushing at 9/10ths.

"It's immediately clear that the GT 86 isn't about speed through engine performance, as the 200hp the 2.0-litre unit develops is rather modest these days"

I wish they would have made a complete sports car not just a good handling one.

Not this again.
The FR-S is estimated to do 0-60 in 6.1-6.2 seconds. My current car does that run in about 8 seconds and it's all I can really use in a big city if I want to keep my license. Even from a freeway on-ramp getting from 40 to 75 only takes me about 7 seconds. Do it in 2 seconds and the fun is over before it's started. In the real world, the FR-S should be more than adequate in the power department.

The whole point of this car was affordable performance. If you want power and handling, then you're gonna be paying for it. And we have PLENTY of Supercars, new and used, that you are welcome to shop for.

Please don't come in here and bitch about how it doesn't have have 400HP and Super Handling for $25,000.

^^^ This, all day long. The speed of this car is beyond adequate for it's pricepoint, and it's intended market. People are going to find that this car is far more capable than they thought.
