A/C Issue?

Has anyone run into a problem with their A/C?

2013 LR BRZ Limited ~ BTW

I'll have the A/C and set at 70-75 but it feels warm... not like the 70-75 I'm used to from my Accord.

Then when I turn off the A/C 70-75 feels more like 85...

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!

There is something I read somewhere about the fan putting out warm air in summer with the heat off. Something about turning off the fan to reset the system and then turn back on. Don't remember the exact procedure. From what I recall having done it once or twice in the summer, the air was cooler after you did this. The same issue may be play if you just turn on the air without resetting? Just making a suggestion. But you have a BRZ so it may be different than the FRS.

Well, let's see......hmmm..... your BRZ limited may not have a recirculation button. That feature allows recirculation of the cabin air and doesn't allow outside air to enter the cabin (makes air conditioning more efficient).

The "clutch" on the A/C compressor is located on the pulley on the front of the compressor. When the A/C is "working", the clutch is engauged (goes around with the pulley); when the A/C is "not working", the pulley still goes around, but the clutch part does not.

I hope this helps.

You may wish to take your car to the dealer (if still under warranty) or to a auto shop to have the system checked.
