2. Tokyo drift (3rd Movie)

Looks like 6 will be before tokyo drift in the timeline with Sung Kang in it

My bad I get the 4th and and 1st mixed up. Whoever picked those names is retarded.
The 2nd one definitely had the worst dialogue and most unrealistic sequences. I thought that marked the end of the series. Luckily Tokyo Drift came into the picture and revived it.

Yeah. But it's weird how much heat Tokyo Drift caught, even though it wasn't a bad flick. It just didn't have the star power of any of the other ones, plus I think people went into it still with the bad taste left in their mouth from 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Well, Sung Kang better be driving the BRZ because I actually find his character interesting. They have outrageous action which is actually pretty cool and maybe they can pull some crazy shi*t with the BRZ.

I still have a soft spot for Tokyo Drift.

And I still attest that Tokyo Drift can still work in the timeline because I see it as a movie with a bunch of teens given hand-me-down cars. So it's still okay to show the newest model cars in the newer F&F movies because once they get to Japan those kids aren't buying up 2008+ STI, 2010 GT-R's, 2013 BRZ's, etc.

They're driving reworked 350Z's, RX8's, Evo VI's, etc.

I don't know, but it always angers me to see Asians playing other cultural roles, assuming the audience won't care.

I've still never seen Memoirs of a Geisha because of this reason. Seeing Korean or Chinese play Japanese is just bad taste to me, personally. Plenty of actors and actresses that can play the roles that are actually the ethnicity they're portraying.

However, if the main point of the movie isn't about exploiting that main character's ethnicity and the actor doesn't match up, as in Han's case, I'm totally fine with it since it's just a popcorn movie. I call it "Titanic Mode". I just watch it to get what I need out of it for those few, key moments in the film.
