Street legal to tow hook on track in 30 sec, no damage to body, and I'm the dumbass?

This isn't a FT86 trend and it didn't happen recently.

Why are people doing this?

1) tow hooks are now screwed into the chassis instead of being integrated on the bottom of cars in the past
2) Lancer Evolution

i personally have the tow hook on because the previous owner used it and somehow it managed to scratch up the bumper area behind it. So as much as id like my car to be symmetrical im stuck with grimmspeed license relocation kit. I wouldnt even mind using the magnetic option especially that because i should be getting my black and yellow california legacy plates soon and i like how it looks in those pics. If only i could remove the scratch marks though.

Exactly and things have been even worse in the past.

See... That is what happens when you put it off center. That excessive weight all on one side broke the poor dude's axles and forced his wheels up into the body. Wouldn't happen if in the middle and the weight is distributed equally.

God how I wish I could do that, and then slowly drive by OP's house. The amount of rage produced might be enough to finally cause that aneurysm.

I have the Grimmspeed adapter kit and the reason for it is so I can take the plate off without holes visible during a car show if I feel like it. Simple as that.

Your face is asymmetrical and therefore ugly. Same logic. I win.

I personally bought my car to drive it and where I put my license plate shouldn't matter to someone who drives "Don't know yet"

That actually works around here in the winter and early spring. Lots of front plates end up in snow banks over the winter here. I assume most of them happen when people are parking nose-in and either mis-judge the snow or slide into the snow pile that then eats their front plate.

I suspect I have lost 3 that way over the decades. Mind you most of those were on cars so old the bracket rotted off and let go when I lightly touched snow banks.

What time do the high schools let out in California anyway? OP should be back then (if ever).
