SOLD: MPH GT-spec carbon fiber hood (pick up in SoCal only)

SOLD

Probably one of the most beautiful and functional hoods for the BRZ/GT86. This is a real carbon fiber hood - no fiberglass. Price $900 firm, PICKED UP ONLY. (MSRP is $1390 with 5' of duct hose/clamps + $150 freight = $1540, so you save $640!)

For pickup in SoCal only - North Redondo area. Come by without your hood, leave with this beauty! Too large for me to ship, so pick up only. If this doesn't sell, I'm putting it back on the car. Putting it up for sale because I don't need it anymore as I have taken off my supercharger to perform the valve spring recall, and am not re-installing the supercharger.

Goes great with any color!

Only 5k miles on this - always garaged, and parked in a parking structure. Perfect condition except for a tiny 1/4" hairline crack that has been filled and covered in epoxy (can be further sanded down), and unnoticeable unless looking (see pic below).

Note that this hood is verified compatible with the Edelbrock supercharger kit. For the stock airbox, the left airbox/air filter latch needs to be slightly modified to provide clearance.

Epoxy fill in lower corner of vent:

I didn't install any, but then I didn't track my car. I never noticed any sign of hood lift at freeways speeds, and I assumed it was because of the venting - and that air was flowing through and not lifting it up. But if I had seen any sign of it; I'd probably have installed pins to be safe side.

This a great price for the hood. I own one and love it. I also put good pins in mine and had no issues at all.

I may have to add this to the possibilities of buying, too bad you won't ship it. I know some others are thinking the same thing. GLWS!

Thanks - from the MPH web site: "After the part is confirmed leak free it is then infused with a UV stable resin that is designed not to yellow or fade from the sun. After the part is cured they are then scuffed and clear coated with a UV protective clear coat for added protection for the sun and weather. Because it is a normal automotive clear coat there is nothing to chip or crack like typical gel coated "carbon" parts."
