Portable toolbox for track days, what do you use?

What tool box do you guys bring to the track? I have been using a harbor freight tool bag and it is in dire need of an upgrade.

I just started bringing my whole crescent box I got from Costco a decade ago, I definitely don’t need 75% of it but having it makes life easy. Now you’ve got me thinking… 3d printed trays that interlock…

I use a Harbor Freight tool bag Carries what I need - not the most organized but it's really space efficient compared to a toolbox.

Harbor Freight bag for me as well. Mine started out with the specific tools needed (8,10,12,14, etc. Sockets and wrenches. However, it has managed to accumulate much more and now weighs a ton. I guess it's time for a clean out.

I have a Husky pack out box from Home Depot, has 2 levels. 1 has top with a clear lid that I keep the really common stuff. Then hammers/breaker bars, sockets, etc in the bottom that the top "slides" back to uncover.

I'm currently using an overlanding tool bag from Blue Ridge Overland gear: https://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.co...-gear-tool-bag. Pricey, I know, but I liked the individual storage pockets to keep different tools separated.

Since it lives in a storage bin anyways, I'm thinking of adding Velcro to the inside of the storage bin and attaching the storage pouches there, thus eliminating the bag itself.

Several years ago, I got this Craftsman kit from Sears. It's always in whatever vehicle I'm driving.

I have a similar cobalt kit that I take to the track with a small tote with a few other tools that didn't come with the kit. I bring a larger rolling tote with fluids and spares soo.

I have a small rubbermade with 2 wrenches and a few sockets as well as a light and random fluids. Just enough to change a tire or tighten up some bolts. If stuff goes really south it will be getting towed home where I have the rest of my tools.

I use a pelican 1510 and some Plano bins to carry about 80lbs of tools. I could pare the weight down by ditching sets and only carrying the sockets, etc. needed for this car but others have used my tools more than I have (other than wheel swap stuff) so why not always be prepared. Also always have an air compressor and jumper cables.

I have a Sterilite tote from Walmart. It's about 30Lx20Wx8H inches. I had a much deeper one when I autocrossed my WRX, but the BRZ's trunk is shallow, hence the height on this one. The smaller size gets the job done though.

I basically keep a roadside kit with tire slime, patches, basic wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Air pump and pressure gauge. Rain gear like a rainproof jacket and umbrella. Torque wrench. Magnetic numbers. I even keep some basic snacks like nuts and those little tuna cracker meals. A few trash bags in case I have anything else I want to cover up from rain that's outside the box like a backpack or something.

Can't say it's just a tool kit, but you could toss a small tool kit in, or bring extra tools in a small bag or something in this type of a box/kit. I only do autocross, so I'm accessing tools much less than if I was doing track days.

The idea is all I need to grab is the box and my helmet and everything is ready to roll because I do events pretty much every week. Plus if it rains, everything is protected. 10/10, would recommend.
