From what I can remember, this only activates at a certain brake point, so if you're standing on the brakes it's going to cut the throttle, but not if you're using them lightly.

I'd have to take a look at the switches and stuff, but it could be pressure based as well.

I don't normally have a problem doing them. My tires are garbage in fact from being over heated from them. Pedal dance always it's to work flawlessly

My car does this to . It's really annoying if I'm racing, I mean driving the speed limit on the highway. I've emailed EcuTek about this and they said they haven't found a way to disable it. It allows you to do it for 3ish seconds before it cuts the throttle

It's actually very common on modern AT cars. Even some Porsches suffer from this, it's deemed a" safety feature" that is becoming common place it seems.

I doubt its so much mapped in the engine ECU, more a function of the AT ECU seeing as MT cars aren't affected.

Where are getting that from? Because from everything I've ever read it affects MT as well. It was my understanding the pedal dance fixed this so you can left foot brake for racing purposes.

I've not tried it in extremes, but I'm fairly certain you can left foot brake on a MT without the pedal dance.

I have the 6mt, I do the pedal dance, it still cuts throttle within a few seconds.

If it takes > 3 seconds to have it cut out, then it's really not an issue for track purposes. If you're left foot braking while on the throttle for more than 3 seconds, you're driving wrong.

I'll try again next time I'm out, don't know that I've ever held both pedals for more than 3 seconds before.

That was my thinking. Where as the AT will cut power instantly from what I hear of modern cars.

Yeah. You can do like the GTR guys and temp disable the brake light relay (I think that's how they do it.) but I was hoping we could find a work around.

I think its quite obvious to everyone that if they are on the brake and the gas hard for 3 seconds on track you're doing something wrong.

Ever want to heat your tires up well at drags? Or do a big nasty burnout at a drift event for the crowd?

Or brake boost a turbo kit? Nothing cooler than falling flat on your face the instant before launch.
