Still turns heads, even on this forum.

But I constantly have people talking to me at stoplights, gas stations, etc. These cars are still fairly unknown to most.

I don't get as many head turns with the car now that I've had it for a few months, but it's certainly fun to see people ocasionally look at my car at the gas station or at a traffic light. My car is nearly all stock and a daily driver, so it's not too crazy looking.

Not just "old" guys!
That is exactly how the guy in my earlier post pronounced it.
I directly quote: "Oh this, it's the new Porsche Skeeon. That means scorpion in German you know".
He was maybe 25 or so.

Well for Christ sake blow her back up and get her in the car!

Parked the car, registered and opened the hood. Didn't expect a lot of interest as there were over 100 VERY nice cars there.
BOY WAS I WRONG! After about two hours had no voice left as I talked to so many people. Was fun watching some of them try to figure out what it was!
Best was the guy that went on to his buddies about how it was the "new Porsche Scorpion model (Scion is apparently now German for scorpion according to him)" and it puts out 600 horse and cost $140,000! He went on like that for 5 minutes even though the hood was open and it clearly says Toyota/Subaru right on the intake cover!
So ...ya it still turns heads especially in areas where it is still relatively rare (I have only seen two others on the road in the month I have had it)
LMAO...love the part where the guy just waved you in. Where was this car show?
As for 2 others on the road...there'll soon be 3

only kids drop their jaws and stop in the middle of the streets on the bicycles

giving me thumbs up(only kids)

yelling at me to rev the car etc

only kids...

I still remember my first day getting this car last year....a pick up truck drives by me on the wrong side of the road and curses me/sticks the middle finger at me and cut me off. (upstate NY)

I'm confused, what was too small?

I'm not completely sure but in my experience the GF is supposed to do any blowing that may be required...or am I missing an important detail here?

The styling on these cars marks a radical departure from usual Japanese car styling, and it is good. The car has all manner of traditional elements wrapped up in a cohesive, dramatic and attractive package. A delight to look at and to be seen in as well as dynamic to drive visually as well as performance wise.

The Miata was kind of losing its unique identity in that regard, hopefully Mazda will benefit from its new partnership with Alfa Romeo in returning the MX5 to its styling roots.

On a daily basis, still. Old guys always rolling down their windows to ask about it, little kids pointing, girls breaking necks...

I just shrugged. I'm not sure why he thought I would lie about that.

I have mentioned this before. I was getting out of my car at a client's office one day just as the client had pulled in, and she said, "Nice car! I wish I could afford a car like that!"

She had just gotten out of a Lexus SUV. I could have bought at least two BRZs for what she paid for that thing.

I have the lightning red BRZ. I have noticed that girls seem more likely to notice red cars. I originally wanted WRB, but in hindsight I realize red is the right color for this car.

Overall this car gets as much attention as I used to get in my Triumph, and it's not even a convertible.
