Getting the horn to honk when locking the car requires a dealer to turn it on using Techstream and three presses of the lock button. This is my buddies car

That's what I hear from the other Houston folk. Mine doesn't honk unfortunately, and I have to replace my ECU under TSB to get a chance at turning it on

@10500 mi

Continuing to use Amsoil 0W-20 in the motor.
Switched from Motul Gear 300 to the Amsoil 75W-90 for the gearbox. (Huge improvement)
Differential will remain Motul Gear 300.

Can't wait to post up the reports

Surprised you got away from the Motul in the gearbox so quickly. Were you having issues or something? Also, did you get back sub-par results from Blackstone before you decided to switch?

Mine's still like butter. I do need to siphon-off a small sample for Blackstone though.

Gearbox was giving me crunchy/notchy shifts (especially to 2nd) shifting below 4k. I had to drive the car 15-20mi before it was smooth below 4k. I didn't feel like beating on my car right after starting it in the mornings so I double clutched for a while to help.

Overall, just wanted to try Amsoil. Had 7000 mi on the Motul gear 300.

I didn't send any off for a sample before the switch, however I collected some during the flush. Need to mail it off.

I found a small amount of metal shavings on the gearbox drain plug. Probably normal wear.

Cool. Interested in the Blackstone reports that you get back since we're still running Motul in the trans and diff. We've switched back to Mobil 1 for the engine, since it's immensely easier to source around here.

Southwells Mini Meet

Met up with one of my mates to check out his car. It is mostly stock, but has an interesting taped-on rubber front lip. Unroll cut and tape. I think it makes his car look more aggressive.

Light cast had multiple colors. Gave a weird "3D" light effect
