Guys, why do I see so many used FR-S with mileage under 15000 in price range of $20k? Car fax report on one of the cars says the fuel system and interior trim has been checked. Is it because of the issues with the fuel pump and rattling? Are those issues really so bad that numerous people trade in the car?

350, this is from the Kelley Blue Book website:

"For the 2014 370Z, Nissan has dropped the pricing of the base Coupe by $3,130 and that of the Touring Coupe by $2,550. This means a Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of just under $30,000 for the base coupe and slightly over $35,000 for the Touring model. The Roadster remains at under $42,000 for the base version and near $44,000 for the Touring trim. The Sport Package adds about $3,000, navigation is $2,150 and the automatic transmission is $1,300. The Nismo (manual transmission only) is around $43,000. To compare actual transaction prices for the Nissan 370Z in your area, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price. Like the 350Z before it, the 2014 Nissan 370Z Coupe is expected to hold its residual value well, far better than the Ford Mustang V6 and Chevrolet Camaro LT, and about as well as the BMW Z4, Audi TT and Hyundai Genesis Coupe."

I still like the lighter, more fuel efficient FR-S as it gets closer to 30 mpg and anything faster than a 200 hp boxer will just get me extra speeding tickets.

BUT my ultimate goal is to go FI with my purchase and from what i know about the VQ and what i have learned on here.. the 86 is great for what i want… almost every build thread i have read/review on FI has good results and a lot of owners have good mileage on there stock engine even with the turbo kit… and to do this to a Z.. is expensive…even on the old 350 ..the frs I'm seeing isn't AS bad.. still nothing is cheap haha.. but the dreams seem reachable here..and that sold me :P
besides… i like the rocket bunny/gt wing setup … so maybe someday ill b like that guy with the burnt orange car he rarely drives except ill have plenty of tickets to prove otherwise :P jk I'm a A+ cautious driver! ha

I don't know I haven't had issues with the car so far,but only 244 mi so far.
I can speak to this there are so many folks modifying these cars and can't speak either on there driving habits or there experience in doing all those modifications. But seems to me that there just might be a few out of the norm issues that probably crop up that wouldn't normally. Jus saying mind you no field study has been done just simple observations and common sense. But stick around and read for yourself and make your own assessment.

Still running the factories. I run about 1000 miles a week so I figured I would drag these out until they don't have any tread left. I was gonna say until they don't grip but they already don't grip as is.
Thanks for the welcome.

Hello all, I've been trolling around the site for a couple months while deciding what to get as my first new car. I have chosen a '14 Ultramarine FR-S as the winner. I must say, although it doesn't even have 1k on it yet, I love driving this car. Having come from a line of FI and muscle in the family this is a great change. I like the community here so far and look forward to many years with the Toyobaru.
