Exactly. We were saying for a long time that it helps only on the high end rpm's area as you said after 7k.

Long awaited answer lol YES you can directly drop in and install the intake manifold. I recently swapped it over, and its not just paint and thats it. The intake manifold actually brings in more air, solid, and looks great. Worth the money especially if you plan to go boosted. Currently have a boosted setup so it works.

The only differences is I believe the oem ecu and rail covers need to be cut for fitment. I replaced them with the velox covers at the time so it fit perfectly. The ecu covers need a tad trimming, but no biggie. Also the MAF bolt is different so if you plan on ordering the intake manifold make sure to get the bolt thats for the MAF, and the gasket.
Useless information?
Maybe as a last step to a FI installation there may be the slightest possible impact but as a single bolt on item without tuning it is a waste of time and money.
Could tune the existing setup to have as much effect as just the intake manifold change would have on a NA car.
