I need to calm down? I haven't been complaining incessantly about not hearing anything or what I'm going to be receiving other than the car itself. I'm just saying there's no use complaining about those things. I agree that maybe it wasn't the best, most thought out marketing scheme but it got OUR attention (it worked to some extent)! As a tip, calling everyone childish is pretty good way to create bad blood. And complaining about people complaining isn't a winning method of creating friends.

I don't think anyone is upset about not getting something cooler--we're upset that we won this competition and a month later we still don't know any of the pertinent information on buying a car.

I can afford a $40,000 car, but that's not what I'm looking for at the moment. I want something around $23-24k, and if it's over that I'm out and I'd like my $500 deposit back.

I think most people are just frustrated with not knowing or getting updates. Maybe we should all just have a beer and be glad we have another great car to choose from :happy0180:

OK... for those that don't know: in 2006 Scion flew 100 owners to Miami for 48 hours for the release of the 2nd-gen xB, and xD. They sent us the same type of package containing questionnaire that included a Scion keychain and ring. We later received a hat, t-shirt, free airfare, an ocean-view suite at the Lowes hotel in South Beach, $100 cash, oh, and a free Ludacris concert hosted by Rainn Wilson with an open bar.
