Feldys Autocross videos

This is going to be my autocross journal if you will. A compliation of my runs and so forth.
First I'm running Cstock this year and the only mods I have are the wheels and tires I had on my STF car. I'm running 225/45/17 Hankook rs3s durring the summer and 225/45/17s Dunlop star specs in the spring and late fall when the temps are cooler out.

On the frs durring the first outing with a codriver we ran 35 psi front and back. Proyometer showed equal temps across the board that was nice to see. I will get the camber bolts before the season is out. Right now I'm focused on learning the car.

I'm also doing this in the auto with paddles.

As of right now the Frs has 43 runs on it. 12 from codrivers.

123 so far for the season with my STF car and the FRS combined. Still have tons of work to do. And now I'm playing catch up with a new car and platform. Big difference from my understeering pig of a FWD car.

I got a early start. First event for me was last weekend or so in febuary. And if you notice I go to a lot of clubs to run. The plan was to go to Lincoln with my STF car and give Hollis a run for his money. However when I was about to spend some money to finish the rest of the prep on the car. The wife told me to go ahead and buy the Frs. She said you may as well get the car you has been dreaming about now instead of spending money on a car you are going to trade in a year. Great wife she even attends all the local events with me so I can see her and my son.

So now I'm learning a new car and platform.

This past weekend I was able to make it out to Grissom Air base in Peru IN. The week before is where they just had a national tour with a course set up from Sam Strano.

They ended up using the same course for this regional event. We had 170 entrys which is a lot for a regional event. We only got 4 runs in that day but that was fine since I had a co-driver and was able to get heat into those Rs3s. Weather was great not that 100 degree heat crap. Also was my first event running gas from a pure gas station none of that 10%percent enthonal stuff. Have to say the car liked it a lot. No crickets none of that.

5 people in Cstock that day. I usally run RTR but the none of the Cstock guys were running Rcomps. So I ran with them. Took 2nd in Class with a 57.3 the leader had a 56.3. I was loosing time in the first corner bad and could not get it figured out right all day. You can see from the videos. My last run I ran a faster run but coned it away.

I have a two day event this weekend and will try to get lots of footage. Going to run the camera off the back window this time. Do you guys have a good place for it when running with a co-driver?

Some new video. Had a lot of seat time this weekend. Two day event. And I drove horrible. Just Horrible. I had 6 runs and one rerun the first day and not a single clean run. 14 cones in a single day it was god awful. Worst day of the year and possibly ever. I even got beat by a stock FRS with stock tires.

2nd day was a little better with a 2nd place trophy but my codriver beat me both days in a row this weekend.

We did 60 foot sector times. And my FRS had the worse times of the day the first day. Its just hard to launch with that damn automatic. The Stock frs was a mt and had way better launch times.

My scratch time beat the stock frs by a lot but I coned it away. My co-driver drives a RX8 mt in STX but was having issues with compression in the motor. He loved the automatic on the times we needed to get back into first on some of the 180 turn arounds and such. I will post his videos later.

Video from the first day was jacked but here is video from my 2nd day.
Any advice on not overdriving the car is welcomed.

Local Tirebarn broke a lug nut stud for me today. They said it was seized on. Had a autocross this morning. Put on the race tires when I got up. They were not stuck on this morning.

My fastest run from yesterdays event.

Since we don't run a street tire class I choose to run in STX for the hell of it. My fastest run was a 48.7 in stock form on 225 star specs. First place stx went to a prepped RX8 46.1
