I think the back end looks dead awful the most out of the whole car. SMH

They should work on everything else first before going after more power.
The V6 models were good engines with a nice powerband, they honestly should focus on the weight and handling instead.

I'd totally be in for a TT v6. A modified factory turbo would be much easier to modify and smog in cali

Agreed on working on everything else. They definitely have the power. No issues there. But the car is an absolute turd in the handling department. They gotta try to get the weight under 3200lbs at the very least and fine tune their suspension more. Their shifter feels like rubber too.

I think they're trying to take the genesis coupe upmarket and turn it into a more luxurious GT cruiser as opposed to an all out sports car. 3200 pounds is not going to happen with this next generation. Hopefully this will leave enough room for something like the Kia Stinger to occupy the lightweight sports car niche.

I'm expecting huge jumps in the handling department. Didn't they get someone from BMW's M division to work on their performance cars?

When I briefly cross shopped one of these I was shocked at the price, they also need to work on that.

Agreed, but hp numbers is what sells cars, at least in the US. Plus sporty cars don't seem to be favored much in Korea...

27k for 348 hp and they need to work on the price? What are you expecting it to be priced at?

The genesis coupe is not a light weight sports car as much as it is a GT car. Out the box they're alright, but if you really want to have fun with it you have to drop the shit stock tires (real shocker there), get the performance alignment listed in the user manual, and get a short shifter. If you get an R-spec you need to replace the brake pad too. It won't be a Porsche in the handling department but it's surprisingly pretty good for what it is. And that's coming from someone who hated to the Genesis coupe from the beginning.

People saying the Genesis coupe needs to lose weight sound like people saying the 86 twins need to get less cheap feeling. That's not what the cars were made for.

I really like the Genesis, I always have and it's certainly a great option for its price range.

However, and I HATE comparing gender to cars, but the lines, the shape of the lights, the led strip above the fogs, and the grill (and then some) make the car look.....very feminine.
