Hello everyone,
hope you can help me, because I'm a newbe in engine building. I found a lot of infos in this thread, and I recently work on the timing cover to improve oil performance on FA20. I
- opened the oil galleries' covers
- ported oil galleries
- cleaned
- used an anaerobic sealent (Loctite 518) before reinstalling the covers and a threadlocker for the bolts
- installed an high volume oil pump kit
- used an engine lube to prime the new oil pump

Now I notice a little lube leak in the rotor of oil pump, after installing the cover... If I spin a little, some lube came out (see attached picture)... Maybe it's normal, I don't know.

Do I have to worry?

Rotor with cover installed and lube leak (this is the inside view on the timing chain cover):

The only thing sealing the pump in the cover is a slight amount of friction. It's normal.

Think about it this way. It has to leak a little in order to lubricate itself.
