Thanks for the review Trev! I hope to see your car somewhere soon, I want to have a listen! Are you going to Cars and Copters by any chance?

It's very quiet. Almost stock sounding, actually.

The recordings don't actually reflect how quiet it is.

I spoke with perrin, and they said if you wanna run a full system, ie, overpipe, midpipe and catback, they suggest a resonator, so if its quiet catback it wont be when you do the rest.

some manufactured dont make a overpipe or front pipe, others design their system, not just the catback

I'm glad I went perrin, it was them or nameless; and one is clearly a boxxer specialist

well crap in that case.

Perrin, is there a way to add a resonator when the rest of the kit comes out wihtout paying for a whole new cbe?

you need a new resonated section to replace your unresonated section, that is simple.
to clarify:
they said if you go for a catted pipe, and are unresonated, it will be louder, but OK.... if you go CATLESS pipe it will be very loud without a resonator

Contact chris (@Perrin_chris) this is good question for those of you who went unresonated but then want a catless mid pipe(which makes more power and wont throw a code) down the road, how can you swap to a resonated section of pipe?

I dont think any other vendor has done as good a job on boxxer exhausts in general and perrin's well thought out end to end header to tail pipe development is understated and less than advertised, but Stellar IMHO

Perrin dont make mistakes, no revisions no redos. when its ready to market its prime time.

I'm on board with their end to end solution, not just cause of the name, but their years(decade+) of experience with subaru exhaust SYSTEMS really shows in their product.

I just put the non-resonated catback on a couple days ago and it's perfect. I definitely wouldn't want it any quieter...a little louder would be acceptable, but as it is, it's exactly what I wanted as far as sound. Idles quiet, aggressive on the throttle, but no popping or crackling...and so far, no drone at all...

Cool thanks sho220. I love the popping and crackling on my road coarse Evo cause that means I'm shooting flames and I'm super fast and furious!

Sounds awesome!

Wonder if you could get a recording with some load on the engine. Not easy, I know.
