Gran Turismo 5 will be released on November 2, 2010 (arrived on November 24) Finally

Finally! Gran Turismo 5 Hits Shelves on November 2, 2010
Today 04:30 PM by Nate Martinez

Yes, you read that correctly. Come November 2, 2010, Sony PS3 owners can buy the fifth installment of Polyphony Digital's successful Gran Turismo franchise at any authorized retailer worldwide.
Creator, perfectionist, and real-world racer, Kazunori Yamauchi and his team of closely knit designers, engineers, and car nuts have finally deemed their creation fit to tackle the ever evolving automotive racing genre. But, of course, it wouldn't be fair to simply blame the much (much) delayed delayed release on the development team, as the marketers and product planners have some sway in the matter too.

Regardless of who's to blame, it's here, and according to our friends at Playstation and Polyphony Digital, it's going to rock. We've played hours and hours of 2008's Gran Turismo Prologue, plus a few minutes on a thoroughly revised demo during CES 2010, so we don't doubt Yamauchi-san's capabilities and uncanny vision. (For a full impression, stay tuned, we'll have a report very soon...)

GT5 gamers can choose from over 950 different vehicles, race on the world's more challenging circuits (WRC, NASCAR, and others included), and try desperately to ward off heavy virtual rains and nighttime drowsiness. Buyers can also download high-end cars like the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and McLaren F1.

In addition to the base game, Sony is offering a Gran Turismo Collector's Edition for $99.99 that includes a 1:43 diecast Nissan GT-R Spec V, a 300-page book outlining racing techniques and included cars, a certificate of authenticity, five downloadable exotics, and a custom etched GT5-branded keychain.

Check back here for more Gran Turismo 5 coverage straight from this week's E3.

Right. I have waited for this game for almost 4 years already. I'm so excited to hear the news. Screwed Sony's marketing department for keeping me waiting for that long.

Dude, this sucks. It'd be fine if you get a fat ps3 because they are not expensive like they were.

How many time they have announce date and they changed it? Hope Nov 2nd~3rd is the final date for it.

I read in Kotaku.com that it's gonna 3d and also able to use PS Move... but I prefer to buy Logitech G27 with bucket seat.

Sit in front of my 40" tv w 5.1 surround sound & logitech G27 and the bucket seat going... No one in Nov gonna stop me... oh wait, I'll still be in Japan, sux!

I'll believe it when I actually pick the game up. I already reserved the CE but I'm not holding my breath.

I would totally get the GT5 CE. thats the sex right there. Hopefully by that time I could also get a G27 w/ Playseat and really enjoy all GT5 has to offer

We'll see what happens by November.

Bring back old thread... but I was just wondering. I was going to buy the Collector Edition, but I wasn't sure which place I wanna buy from.

Local Game Stop's Collector Edtion DLC cars are McLaren F1 Stealth & Joey Lagano's #20 NASCAR. Best Buy has GT500 GT-R Stealth. Amazon has Benz SLS AMG Stealth. I was wondering what other site has different DLCs.
