I am fairly sure that my OEM taillights both have a hole cast into the plastic lense.... I will check and get pictures

::edit

They do not. However... NOW mine do

No offense but all the aftermarket taillights looks like they belong on a riced out Civic, not my style man.

remove the tailight and make sure the seal is sealing properly. You can drill holes on the bottom but it's not really needed. Put in silica gel packet as mentionned also, keeps the moisture away.

Aftermarket tailights..ugh...

My opinion, but if this has been done 3 times, the dealer is doing it wrong. The condensation was supposedly caused by cracks from over torquing during the install. I'd say first try a different dealer before doing anything else.

Also, you could get this escalated to a Toyota Regional Rep to make sure its done right.

That said, I tend to make these types of issues a "mission". I'd do it a 100 times if necessary while the car was under warranty before resulting to a quick fix. Once it was outside warranty, then I would probably drill a relief hole.

For all of you who thinks the OP is completely nuts, there is some rhyme and reason for this. Older 90's cars have vented parts where there are light bulbs to let the condensation evaporate and leave to the atmosphere. My celica had them and yes they go through to the light bulb. Had no condensation issues on my old GT-Four, I would assume some thanks goes to these:

The only bad thing is that the rear tail light housing is clear when stock and you'll see the water marks on the inside of the light when it does evaporate and dry.

No "relief holes" aren't unusual at all, lots of items have them. It's not condensation that is the long term problem its the part never drying out. For example, some airplane wings have these types of holes in them in strategic locations.

The only exception, IMO, is Tom's. I'm quite fond of the LED circles on the stock ones so I just want to paint the lens red.

I thought replaced parts get a new warranty? Like a new taillight should get a new 3 year 36,000 warranty from the date and mileage of replacement? If not, how does it work?

I used to tell people that all the time. But a few months ago I thought it was pretty much determined that the leaking still occurred even when people explicitly mentioned the specific torque specs.

Hasn't there also been a newer gasket produced since the initial release of the vehicle? Also not working?
