I'm buying a replacement airbag because I F'd up the original. It will have the Toyota logo on it. The wheels are expected to come next week, I'll have pics once they do.

Clear bra dude! I just scraped the very underside of my own bumper, and I'm pissed I waited on clear bra-ing that. That would have saved it. Gonna cost me about $150 bucks to redo that underside part, but then I'm gonna put some clear-bra on that area as well as the front bumper since track days are killer for rock chips.

HUGE UPDATE!:

I am currently talking to a local powerhouse tuner that tunes "everything from supras to 1300whp lamborghini gallardos, fabrication and design work, and our other R&D on the Lexus ISF which shares the same direct injection system as the FR-S."

They are going to be using my car to build a turbo kit for the FR-S and I'm extremely excited as this will save me $$$ and extra attention will be used to install/tune the car. The car is expected to be in tuning for 4 weeks and will be using low boost at first with meth injection and super high quality American parts, so there will be a minimal chance at breaking things.

It's morphin' time for The White Ranger

Coming along nicely.
Just FYI, most of the color difference you're noticing is actually when the color is laid down. A bunch of factors beyond just getting the color matched right is what you will see with pearls. Especially when it comes to light colors. Silver is probably the worst.
If you can get your hands on a magnifier like a printers loop where you can actually see the pearl under the clear, you'll see it kinda looks like mountains.
It's what is known as the "flop" among painters. You get a different perspective based on the viewing angle and lighting. One angle looks dark, and the other might be lighter, and may exhibit or reflect colors. Hence "flop."
At the factory, the color is laid down using a certain fluid and air pressure and environment including the speed at which the gun moves across the surface to be painted. Clear can contribute, but it's often the difference in the color building as it's applied.
Check it out under magnification and you'll see.

Care to do a name drop? I can think of a few shops like you described. Thinking about offering up my brz as a test mule for the same thing to a couple of shops and see what they say.

I'll have to ask them if it's OK to name drop. They expressed that they wanted this to be low key and secret until the final build is complete. There's a good chance I won't even be allowed to post pictures of the build as it's being done. I'm sure I'll be able to post pictures of some stuff though and I'll definitely get video footage of in car performance and pulls, etc. Dyno results will definitely happen as well. I'll need to clear with them what they do and don't want me to post.
