Talking about insurance costs is like talking about "how much do you spend at the grocery store?" There are too many factors that play into insurance premiums. Even your zip code makes a difference. The best thing an individual can do is shop his own local market and go with the one that seems the best.

Dont count on turning 25 giving you a break. I turned 25, no other factors changed, and my insurance went up $100. Mine is due next month so I will see how it goes.

Which company?

And I tested it out to see what it was like if i said i was 26... made it a couple 100 cheaper...

I am with justcar.

$1100 full coverage, 18k agreed value. I have a feeling its because the agreed value is high, which I am going to ask about reducing. I should probably have the car knocked off - get twice as much for it at this rate!

like i said its due again in a month so maybe its come down? I turned 26 last week so I was well and truly 25 before my last renewal.

I've heard that Evos are cheaper to insure due to most young people being unable to afford them - hopefully its similar with the 86.

update on my insurance changes.

just car has modified the agreed value (on their own, not my input) to 14750. I also turned 26 last month, and my insurance is now $653.

it seems the break occurs around 26 rather than 25.

You guys have it good down under. Us here in the metropolitan cities in the US pay out our arses in insurance premiums. I wish I paid something close to $1,000 USD a year for my car insurance.
