I began removing my sound deadening today. So far I've removed 3.56 pounds. Based on how much is left, I'm estimating the grand total will be about 5.5 pounds. It's going to be tricky getting all the vertically-mounted pieces off though. That's all I've got left. I ran out of dry ice, and also need to figure out how I'm going to go about doing those last 4 pieces.

I searched but didnt find anything... how much weight savings can you expect from going to high quality carbon fiber fenders? any idea how much the oem ones weigh? after my supercharger install, I`m trying to lose all of the weight I can off the nose of the car.

I looked into this a long time ago. Apparently it wasn't much. Like a pound per side. Stocks are pretty light, it seems.

All the rear deck bits together weigh 3.7 pounds. This includes the cover, third brake light, trunk light, and four cleats.

And the windshield cowl weighs 2.775 pounds. I expect removing it will also reduce hood lift and promote air flow for cooling.
