Installing the built transmission this week (or next couple of weeks), new twin disc clutch, driveshaft shop one piece aluminum driveshaft, dss 600hp axles, is300 rear diff with 3.91 FD gears.

Also upgrading the 19 row oil cooler to a 20 row dual pass setrab fanpack oil cooler, along with a 2qt accusump oil accumulator.

also trying to plumb a new route for the catch cans since it's not relieving enough pressure at higher boost settings..

Sorry for the late replies...

Nope, no spacers are being ran with that offset. The car was widen based off the wheels and where they sat. I've seen people run 18x10 +40 on the stock body, but with smaller tires and ride height higher. Just depends on what you're wanting to do. If you want to keep it low with meaty tires, it won't work. If you don't mind leaving the car higher you can make it work. There will have to be a trade off somewhere.

Sorry for being horrible at keeping up with this. I get so busy at work sometimes that I never have time to make a real post and/or see questions... Best way to ask about anything is to ask me on IG (@NEM_86) or find me on FB..

I think the last pictures of the car was when it freshly came out of the body shop.. I've had some time to get some good photos with some amazing photographers.

Below were taken by Danh Phan (@dtphan) from Houston. These actually ended up in the December 2016 issue of Super Street, which is available to those in the west coast. I don't think it'll be available to us in Texas until next month!

I am selling off most of the interior, if anyone is interested.. there's a sale thread in the classifieds section

I also had some time off from work and got to take the car to California over the summer. The drive was pretty interesting and definitely something off my bucket list. Along with driving to California, participating in a show was also scratched off my bucket list (went home empty lol).

While I was there I linked up with some really great people. I thought, while I was there I should get some photos and video of the car, since I don't know whens the next time I'll be out there with the car in this condition.

Below are photos taken by JJ Chen (@jjchen819). Really really talented individual!

Like I said above, I really wanted to get a video, especially with the famous California mountain passages.. David Osorio (@influenti4l) and JJ Chen made this video for me while I was there, mainly for memory sake..

As mentioned before, I'm parting out most of the interior and that's because I'm starting to track the car more rather than do shows. Below are just a few shots from a track day at MSR Houston. The rain kept coming and going, which made it a bit difficult for all of us.

I guess from a mechanical update... I've upgraded the entire drivetrain. I put in the PAR straight cut gearset in the transmission, DSS 1-piece aluminum driveshaft, DSS 600hp axles, and a IS300 LSD rear diff with 3.9 final drive gears. I'm also running dual oil coolers since the oil temps were getting pretty hot on the track. I've ran the track once with the dual cooler setup and everything has been perfect. I also replaced the radiator with a Koyorad Hyper V core. Coolant temp has also been awesome. Granted, it was a pretty cool day the last time I tracked (by Texas standards 85F).

I'm currently in the process of getting the 2017 BRZ bumper fitting on, so we're redoing the crashbar to setup the intercooler and dual oil coolers to fit correctly with this bumper and to allow the best airflow for everything.

The next event I have is a 1/2 mile runway "shootout" in mid November. The car isn't really setup for that, but I thought I would try it out anyways.. Right now we're pushing 486whp on our Mustang Dyno at 20psi. I'll see what our tuner feels comfortable with, but I'm thinking somewhere around 24-25psi, that should put me well over 600whp on a Dynojet. That's if my turbo can handle more..

I'll try to post videos and pictures from the 1/2 mile if I can... LOL

My next track event will be Dec 3-4 at MSR Cresson, so I'll be busy between all these events.

I hope this was a good enough update for anyone still following!!

Saw the article on SS a few days ago - glad to know you have a build thread!

Any chance you could share how your wing is chassis mounted?

Hey guys, here's an update on the new front end!

I had Killer Hot Rods delete the side markers again on this new bumper, since they tend to fall out anyways.

They also molded some sheet metal in the fog light area, to duct air to the oil coolers.

I'm running dual 19 row oil coolers right now. They worked great at the last track event back in Sept at MSR Houston. I never saw anything above 198 on the track.

With the cooler weather now, the temps are a little TOO cold now (158-160 cruising). I'm thinking my t-stat plate might be malfunctioning. It's either stuck open or the temp on the valve is too low. From what FBM told me, it is a 65C valve, which is pretty cold. I had PRT order me a new one, the new mocal plate should be an 85C t-stat plate. I'm hoping this will solve the issue. If it doesn't, I might try to disconnect one cooler and just run one during the winter. If it gets too hot, then I might have to change up the routing of the oil lines. Right now it's routed in series. Routing in sequence might help bring the temps up. For the summer times, this will definitely help.

With the dual coolers, it has also been helping with my oil pressure. I feel a lot more confident when I'm pushing the car now, knowing my oil pressures are where they should be. I was running 15w-50 previously but now that my pressures are good, I'm going to drop it down to a 10w-40. I think a 10w-30 would be ok for street, but on the track I might stick with the 10w-40.

I also had the Classic BMW race team raise the car up a bit. When I go over dips at the track, things tend to hit the track (and break sometimes). I also wanted to be able to soften up the rear a bit. It's too stiff right now and I'm bouncing around on the track on the wider radius corners. I also broke a support rod on my diffuser at the last event. And those things are NOT cheap! ($30/each)

The Classic BMW race team also did an alignment and corner balanced the car, since I removed a lot of the CF interior. I also had the new front crash bar done, so it changed the weight up front a bit as well. I'm not used to driving really low cars on the street and I still want to be able to drive this car on the street. It's not quite ready to be a track dedicated car.. So this height is perfect for me.

BTW I spoke to the guys at Classic BMW and they said they welcome anyone who needs a corner balance or alignment. Just FYI, their race team participates in the PWC TC class. Their driver is Toby Grahovec and he also works at Classic BMW. You can contact him if you're interested in alignments, corner balance, or anything to get your car ready for the track. They really know their stuff and have given me a lot of pointers!
