This is a topic that I flip-flop over almost daily. My FR-S is a DD and I don't think I need to do anything to it ever to be happy with it. However, this car is a tuner car, and I've never modded a car so part of me wants to do some relatively simple mods and another part of me wants to go all out on it.

What on earth did you take off (or replace with - what) to take 40 lbs off of a 230 ..... ??

OK, here is a prediction of what ol Monogram's FR-S is going to look like, after his weight reduction project ....

I DD mine. Plan on some cosmetic modifications, possibly an updated intake/air-filter, UEL headers and JDM exhaust tips, head-unit upgrade, maybe leather in the future, and of course better fluids.

Really? Mind sharing your diet program? I dropped about 120 lbs. with a lightweight battery, jettisoning everything in the trunk, floor mats and Perrin unresonated catback and am looking for more (less, actually) at reasonable cost. So far total cost is <$1K. Looking at 16" RFP-1's and ZII's to save another 40 lbs. unsprung while shortening gearing, but that's still far away from 300-400 lbs.

I am in.
This is my only car and DD it from home to work, doing chores, picking and dropping up my wife.
so far no mod, only bought TRD filter and most likely better tires once the OEM run up.
True the car is not fast but compared to most DD car on the road (civics, corolla) this thing is much better.

Same here. Just changed the exhaust because the stock sound was too boring for me. I used to be into modding but now I'd rather just drive it and enjoy it without having to worry about anything breaking.

Mine is my daily. I love the way it drives as is to be honest. I just wish I had more time to drive it up through the mountains, or more money to track it.

I don't plan on doing anything too big (turbo etc) until the power train warranty is over (and I've got the funds to do it all at once). I figure by then I'll be ready for the power upgrade. In the mean time I'm doing little mods (emblems, center caps, air intake, weight reduction) and hope to get exhaust.

Mine is a DD and I love it. My commute is about 100 miles a day, and this car makes it enjoyable. I only have a drop in filter and axleback exhaust, and im very happy with just that. I probably wont do any engine mods.

Daily driven 20-25 miles a day. I'd like to mod but kinda iffy about it. All I've changed are the lights to HIDs & leds.
