Looks good. Shoot me a PM mid week before the weekend you want to go out, and I'll set up a meet point (and see if any of the locals are up for it).

That's about 20 mins from home. I've been up to watch, but for some reason I have no itch to do it. Same with the Mustang...I've never had it to one of the Arm Drop events there.

I saw a WRBlue BRZ heading to Delta ON, which is 40 minutes north of Kingston. I waved and got a thumbs up from the driver. It made my day

Damn, these cars look good !

Hey guys, I moved to Kingston last May and was wondering if you had recommendations for a good general mechanic here in Kingston. I have gone to Kingston Toyota for an oil change and my 30k maintenance work and I have not been impressed. They miss-quoted my mileage on the paperwork! Also, it's way out in the west end. I live right beside the Kingston Center and work downtown.

Anyway, I have a stock Asphalt FR-S. Haven't seen too many twins around, there's a Hot Lava one that comes to my building now and then, but otherwise I haven't seen much. I saw an Asian girl driving a heavily modified (aesthetically) white BRZ.

I do most of my own work these days except oil changes, alignments and tire mounting/balancing. I take my car to Subaru for oil changes so they have it documented so I shouldn't need to fight them over warranty work if I ever need it. For alignments and tire mounting, I go to Fieldings. They are on Princess St beside Harvey's not far from the Kingston Centre. They're a bit expensive compared to other guys but I've had no complaints for them.

In terms of general mechanics on the west end, Price's Auto is probably your best bet. Dave is a decent guy and before I was doing my own work, I took my Civic and my Tercel to him. Unfortunately, his hourly rate is on the high end of the spectrum and when he gets busy, it can take him a while to get to your car but I've got no complaints about his advice or workmanship.

Welcome to KGN.

I also tend to do most of it myself.

But will second Fieldings for rubber. They are also the Toyo rep here in town if you have the Toyo Racing discount. Eric is a chill guy to deal with and is pretty knowledgable.
I have had similar experiences with Toyota, but also go to them for maintenance until the warenty is over. They have been pretty good about still working on my frs even though it is modified. Sometimes they seem a little confused, but they did replace my oil pan gasket when and saved me a bunch of $$$ when I had my car re-aligned after lowering it.

For my exhaust... I actually went to Auto Maxx which should be right close you you there at centre town. They did a decent job of welding in my ultraquiet red on my stainless catback.

Anyways, hey!

I'm in the blacked out raven frs with yellow drl's and fogs. I live downtown in case you ever see me cruising... I'll wave.

There are a few around. A yellow brz just moved to town as well, there is the special edition (whatever that Subaru tan colour is) cruising around, a couple of blue ones, and the parts guy at Toyota, (tagged in this thread above) also drives an asphalt frs.

Thanks for the info guys!

For some reason, I never received email notifications for the replies to this thread so I forgot about posting here until today.

I have come across a few white BRZs but none of them have waved back lol.

I get tons of waves from WRX guys (blue subaru.. go figure) and about 50/50 from twin drivers around here. although mostly they are either too far away or just don't seem to notice.
