That's the base model 370z that you say we can get for the same price as an FR-S. Okay, it has the mighty horsepower of bacon. But it doesn't have any special sauce. To get something as satisfying as the Milo's FR-S burger, you really need the NISMO Triple Whopper for $45K. But even then you're tasting a mediocre burger underneath that huge splatter of mayo, and you know deep in your heart that you're just covering up a frozen patty that was cooked this morning and has been sitting in a heated drawer for the past couple of hours.

So.

Plain Jane 370z (with bacon horsepower!) for under $30K (with some very aggressive haggling)?

Or fresh, delicious BRZ with special sauce for the same price or less?

I know where I'm headed for lunch.
I couldn't read that over the ho-ho's jiggling in your esophagus.

That's a Milo's Cheeseburger. It's pretty simple, just meat, cheese, pickles, onions and special sauce on a toasted bun. No lettuce, no tomato, no mayo. Just a few simple ingredients. But it's a really good burger, because each of those ingredients is of reasonably good quality, and they cook it up fresh for you right then. And it has special sauce.

The FR-S and BRZ are a Milo's cheeseburger. Just reasonably good components put together in a simple format to provide a really good driving experience. The handling and the styling are the special sauce.

Here's a Burger King hamburger:

Let's call that the NISMO Triple Whopper with Cheese, because like the NISMO 370z, it has just about everything on it. But of course you can scale that down. If you take everything off of it and add a little bacon, you get this:

I dont know why, but this comparison made me so happy for some reason, and when asked this question, THIS is how I will respond. Totally agree by the way

Amusing analogy... but it's not really true. The z doesn't really have that many options, but neither does the fr-s

So if you compared a fr-s to a base 370z what does it have extra? blue tooth, and an lsd?

So if you compared a fr-s to a 370z with sport, it's mostly just the bluetooth.

If you compare the more expensive 370z's, then the fr-s is the one missing stuff.

I agree that the nismo is quite a bit more expensive, but the nismo only has one possible option, the bose package.

This is just a bad analogy, go and price the cars and look at them. The interior of the 86 is pretty bare bones.

i would say the bare bones 370z, which goes for around 27k, compares very very favorably to the 86.

I've riden in a fair amount of 350s and 370s IMO they just feel heavy, more power and torque, sure they need it to. No way I would trade the frs for either of those to be honest. All in what you want from a driving experience I suppose, that and well there are just so many of them. Around here far more then any FRS/BRZ....

Get the Nismo 370Z or go home, that car feels special. I quite like it.

If you know what you're doing, get a base 370Z and modify it.

I owned a 370z, really nice interior, good pick up on speed. However, i do enjoy my FRS much more because i feel more "connected" with the road. Also the FRS was easier on the gas 30 MPG compared to 20MPG. Also, i found that i would actually be able to use more of the RPM range in the FRS. When you are in the 370 i would end up letting off quite a bit earlier.

What it comes down to is your preference, i am happy with my switch.

False. The z is faster around corners too. You have more fun doing it in a 86, but the z grips a lot better.
