could also be colder dense air in the morning vs humid warm in in the afternoon
considering PA had about a 20 degree shift in temps between 8AM to noon today

Is it possible to get the CS400 ceramic coated? I'm probably going to pull the trigger at at the end of the year.

So got the CS/400 installed and tuned on 91 pump gas. Definitely a better daily driver and power starts building much earlier.
Maybe I was expecting too much from what I read from other CS/400 owners on the forums but 2000-3000RPM seems unchanged in a way. I had the feeling that it would have much improved low end torque, I guess I assumed wrong? Maybe it should have more torque in that range and it's just the gas I'm using? I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to improve that RPM range without needing to go with a supercharger. |

That's good stuff. Short stroke vs. long stroke motors build torque differently. It's a high revving engine so it's not always recommended to load the engine around 2-3000 RPM.

A 4-cylinder should be driven gently at that low of RPM. Trying to accelerate briskly in that RPM range puts a lot of heat into the bearings on a small engine. It's a great way to throw a rod if you're boosted. |
