My biggest fear is messing up needle placement when putting it back on bc I can't use tape to align it

I have been following this thread closely for a while now (including the original development thread).. first time commenting.

I absolutely LOVE the STI cluster overlay (and am seriously considering purchasing if it is produced).. my only comment is that on the actual STI cluster the difference in size between the 6 and other numbers on the tachometer is less dramatic (I know you already addressed wanting to fit the x1000). Perhaps it is the angles.. but in some pictures of the actual cluster all the numbers looks like the same size.

Not sure if it is at all possible for you to make the size difference between the 6 and other numbers on your design less dramatic (if that makes sense). Food for thought.

Its fine if you mess up, there is a surefire way to adjust it back to its original position. If its misaligned, you can rotate it in the opposite direction until you feel a resistance, keep going until you have enough head room and just reverse the process so that the resistance kicks in at your original needle position. I've opened my cluster several dozen times by now and sometimes I have to do this to align everything. So far no issue at all. I think Cyberstork has a tutorial video showing how its done.

Yup, I am going to look into that and explore multiple options and see which one will translate the best.

And again imho trying out multiple options if gauge cluster had been modular would fasten things, not just adding modding options to sold product. Replace small part, not whole, maybe even without remounting. And further time savings on sooner to make small bits instead of making whole cluster.

In an ideal world that would have been the way to go! Unfortunately, because of the way these things are made, its not something that would be feasible. However, we can accommodate custom request for a small set up fees since every little change in detail require a different tooling and in order to end up with a desirable and "finished" look, it must be done right from the get go. Vinyl solution would be a band-aid solution and would not look ideal when being back lit.

I know people are asking for options to make it look slightly different. I want to pose a similar question: is it possible to delete the STi logo? It would make the center face less cluttered.

Agreed. I love the look of the STi one, but I don't really want STi stuff in an FR-S. No logo would make a nice alternative

It would be possible to delete the STi logo for those who wants to keep the original standard size 6" font and those who drive a FRS

Can't wait for these! I've been waiting for these for far too long. Please keep the "6" the same size as the rest of the numbers... If possible, I would want the Temp and Gas gauge to remain stock OEM looking... In the picture, it looks too cluttered.

Love the STI logo on this.

I am doing a test fit on a BRZ tomorrow so I'll have a better idea of the intended effects. Going to evaluate to see if you guy's request can be made to work within the confines of our gauge clusters. Stay tooned.

Have you considered making a cluster that's reminiscent of the TRD cluster from the mkiv supra? I think it would look amazing with a more modernized font (adding slight italics). It's simple and clean and could be a nice little nod to older toyota.

I haven't considered going so retro yet, but I could also do a one off for you if thats what you're after.
