Has anyone track tested or plan to track their kit on this of the world (Western Hemisphere)?

How does the cold start work on this hit when you disconnect the coolant lines from the TB?

Coolant lines can't really help with cold start. If the car is truly cold, then so is the coolant.

If England is west enough for you..... I'll be tracking this kit in the next month or so.

Standard pulley, xtreme clutch, front AP racing formula 4 pots, stock everything else.

Anything in particular you are interested in?

Nope. I have a mate with this kit. IATs are solid at around +25C over ambient all day.

He running harrop stock pulley. Stock exhaust, stock suspension but running on 225 MPSS tyres and sti Brembo brakes. Also has 4.67 final drive. He was going quickly pushing the kit hard.

Good to know. Apparently it has been said here and by others that air to water intercoolers are inferior than air to air for sustained driving such as on the track.

It depends how they are sized. My cosworth runs +15iat and I have yet to see any forced induction kit as low as that. Air to air recovers much faster than air-water-air because of the thermal mass of the water.

I think at this boost level the air-water intercooler will be absolutely fine with sustained track driving. Harrop have posted some IATs from their built/small pulley car which also seemed stable (that was on e85 though). Would be interesting to see what the IAT trend would be if TJ hunt took his built edelbrock set up to track on 91 octane!

I'm very happy to gather some data. Can anyone with this kit recommend an android/OBD 2 set up which monitors oil temps too?

Thanks

On Android the paid version of Torque will have access to the oil temp PID.

Cool.

I know Harrop tracks their car quite a bit. They posted their videos.

I am debating between this and the JRSC. At the moment, I am integrating supporting mods for FI. Basically, lurking, waiting, and preparing. Looking for reliability and bulletproof ability. Living in CA, the tracks here can get hot. Shoot, so can driving around town.

Any data relating to heat will be nice for the community including myself.
