That gold looks a bit green. The STi gold would look good.

I wasn't sure what to expect. I just threw it on there after watching multiple vids. I may just get a pair of gold wheels Idk yet. I do like the black too.

Thats the joy of plastidip - aside from the $50 or so for the cans, not much lost.

I painted the rims on a previous car bronze with wheel paint. It took a month between cleaning 10 years of grime off the wheels, then sanding them down, then primer, then finally multiple layers of color then clear. (was driving on a spare set of wheels during that time). When it was all done, I didn't like the shade it came out! Ugh. Wish I had done plastidip back then!

Your wheels are pretty cool - much better than the standard BRZ wheels (trade?!) - if gold doesn't work out, maybe try white. Charcoal could look good too.

I don't really understand why people post on here wanting opinions and then get all butt-hurt when people express them.

You asked, "What do you think?" I think gold rims look ghetto. I answered your question with my actual, honest opinion. That's not trolling.

It's your car. If you like having ghetto rims on it, go right ahead.

Sigh. Because there is an adult answer and immature douchey answer. Saying it's the same demographic when it clearly is far from it and posting a pic of some o g wanna be car is straight up trolling. I don't mind if you don't like it, you aren't the only one but others are respectful about it instead of teenagers...or something. Thanks for your "honest" opinion.

I don't think your shade's quite right. But I do love me some gold wheels on my Subaru's.

I actually always planned on going with a blue and Gold theme and just picked up some gold metalizer to try it out on my Series.Blue. You beat me to it OP. Does anyone else have pictures of how their gold dip project came out? This has me thinking I may try a yellow base instead of the black.

start the metallizer VERY far away. I ended up with one coat of metallizer over black from ~8" away. It has a different spray nozzle than the base coats.

I've also entertained the idea of gold wheels on my series blue. Nice to see what it looks like, thanks for posting
