It isn't about making yours less cool. Mod it to be unique to you if that is your concern. Or, buy a car you enjoy rather than how cool it is. Maybe some of us that have been waiting for a color, or a package, or the time to be right (my daughter is about to go front facing in her car seat) should get a chance to be cool. They are only making 1500. They only sell 30k twins a year in the US. It isn't like you are going to see 3 on your street like I do with our Rav4. Subaru doesn't revise engines that often. We'll probably see some additional engine on the refresh. Is it not ironic that you are complaining about your car being less cool due to these packages when your car would be far less cool if they rolled out a 280hp FR-S? You'd want the new turbo one and the value of the one you own would tank! That would legitimately cost you money. As long as the engine stays the same, your car will retain value better. |

I guess I'm in the minority, but I think it looks great, color and all.

As a previous owner of a tC Release Series (RS) 7.0, I would never buy another one. It was hard to find (aesthetic) mods that come in that color, and if you can't find one you have to buy it unpainted and have a body shop do it for you, or settle for black (which is probably the only color that matches the yellow without looking tacky).
The +$3,000 to the price with no real power gains is just NOT worth it. Lastly, their "unique" RS paint color is baloney. The red tC RS 8.0 was re-released as just a regular tC a year after. The tC RS 7.0's yellow paint is/was an available option for the Prius (outside the US) and the FJ Cruiser, and now, this FR-S RS 1.0 seems to share that same yellow paint, too.

It looks like the wheels aren't machine finished but almost matte. Let's see it gets all the goodies a monogram gets, with a TRD body kit + suspension + quad exhaust. Probably looking at $32000+
On a completely different note, I don't get how they had the 10 Series Scion xB (Silver Ignition blah blah) and then go and release a xB RS 10.0. Confusing. Last edited by FiRStsc10n; 04-10-2014 at 10:50 PM. |

Look at it this way. You've been enjoying a RWD sports car for two years while I've been rocking a Prius for two years. I might have LED headlights, but I've still been driving a Prius that stickers for $32k. A 134hp FWD mommy mobile that cost $32k. (Having kids makes you do crazy things...). Not having the HIDs on the FR-S was an attempt at keeping the cost down. It isn't like they rolled the HIDs out as standard on all '15 models at no cost. This car will surely push $29k or more. |

Guess they probably had to push it out Fall instead of like a next spring so that they can compete against the BRZ STI tS
