Yeah, that's definitely what I was thinking. And I'm sure the tire places hate to do all the paperwork and calling that these claims require.

Yeah, I filed a claim through Michelin first before coming to the second tire shop.

If the cord are showing, there isn't much you can do to make them look prematurely worn from 'regular use'. You also have to understand that Michelin isn't stupid, they know how long their tires last. If there was a tire warrantee issue, it would be for maybe 1 tire, not all four corners.

Don't try to jank Michelin just because you don't want to cough up for new rubber.
That's just the thing though, I don't drive the crap out of them. At least 15k of the miles on this car are highway cruising. I've been to maybe 15 autocross events and they only give you 5-7 40-60s runs per event. I've never done anything out of the ordinary on these tires. They cited burnout damage on these tires which is ridiculous. I think they're just quick to deny claims is all...

My friend did his first engine swap.

He's 19, no prior educational experience on working on cars, just taught himself and from his uncle. Car's a G37. Dude bought an ARK exhaust but couldn't even afford to change the oil. Nuts.

Growing up so fast.
