Check valve not needed for the catch can's sake, at least on the Radium as it is a sealed unit. But most SC/Turbo kits utilize a check valve on PCV line. Just put it after the catch can right before Intake manifold.

No check valve needed on breather line to intake though.

Thanks, your posts on the PCV system have been real helpful for those of us trying to do the FI thing right. Now I just need the rest of the turbo kit.

Why does my engine look different from yours.... I don't have the clamped hose in my bay, just the one on the left in this photo. The one on the right just has some kind of cap on it. When I noticed this I stopped my instal thinking I was retarded....

The one on the left is the PCV line it is unclamped from factory. I clamped mine because of forced induction. The one on right is brake booster.

The right hose goes to the brake booster on the manual cars. You have an automatic and that is taken care of in a different way. It has no impact on the pcv line. You will also have more stuff in the way of your install as there is a lot more stuff everywhere for the auto trans, but nothing is different about where you connect a catch can. Pcv in same spot etc. I only know because I installed two catch cans over Christmas. One on my manual. One on my uncle's auto.

I also looked at his cross eyed for a second thinking wtf, but it all worked just fine. Just more stuff in the way is all. Made me wish I had smaller hands.

Just ordered one of these bad boys. 2500 miles..N/A.

For (top) inlet fitting I got the -6AN (comparable to 0.425") 90degree 2pc adapter for 3/8" pushlok hose.
For outlet (side) fitting I got the 0.550" green barb, which says it'll be a tight fit with 1/2" diameter hose.

I see you guys are using 11/32" hose for the inlet..is that going to work with the inlet I ordered or should I use 3/8" hose? I'm planning on clamping all connections, if that helps.

I'm excited to get this and install it, and I'll definitely share my experiences.

Can't wait for the kit to come out. I'm tempted to just DIY my own bracket though if it doesn't come out soon.

Made a small change to the bracket of mine:

Before:

After:

I tell you what, the weatherproof cold shrink tape I use as a rubber isolater inbetween the strut bar and the aluminum angle pieces really bonds the 2 together...with the hose clamp off and trying to get the top bracket off the strut bar to size it down it would not budge....took everything I had to work it free. The bottom one was impossible to get out by hand...had to wack it with a hammer and block of wood to get it off... That's some good stuff!

Thats some excellent work, the tape is a good idea as well. Really like it.
