Cop out!
Why not have a sports car that has the range to do what you want? If they are selling electric sports cars with only a 50 mile range they don't need to make many but there will be very few takers.

Well you said they only need a 50 mile range and them moved it up but that is beside the point. The Twins are just as often the ONLY car and frequently used for commuting. The ones sold through dealers that advertise tend to have low miles but I do not think that is representative since they just send the high mileage ones to auction and Big Fred's Used Autos sell them without fanfare. Or, the original owner still has it and is racking up miles.

Just as there are very few takers of the Twins. Not many people are interested in a very small sports car with minimal power and light weight. Electric cars are heavy as balls. It just isn't a good fit for a Twin. So either you suck it up and have a short range (and still be a pig weight wise) or scrap the Twin altogether. My guess is a lot of car will vanish if the ICE is banned.

Actually no I said 75miles. Reread my post.

When I was looking for my car I didn't just look at dealers. I looked on eBay motors, Craigslist, ect ect. The majority of the ones I found were very low miles. I'm not saying there aren't people that drive them 7 days a week. I just don't think the majority do. Again, electric just isn't a practical replacement for ICE regardless of what politicians want people to believe. If you are going to make an electric sports car that is consistent with what a real sports car delivers then it would need a really short range. Can you imagine a 4000lbs Twin? It would suck.

Look at the tire wear Tesla 3 owners are getting. This is the reality of having a compact car that weighs nearly 4100lbs. The Twin would completely transform into another segment if it was forced to be electric.

FIFY. There are other "electric" options, but no one pays attention to them because there isn't a maniac... Errr eccentric rich guy invested in it.

Bingo!
Unless there is a decent break through in battery weight.

I don't follow EVs much. What other options do you find interesting?

Neither do I. And I guess this has already gone OT enough for this...

Alternatively, theres changing the infrastructure to add power to vehicles in transit.

You could be right but when you look at all the used Twins with ultra low miles it looks like 75 miles per day is over kill. I did about 20 miles a day on work days fro about 22 years up until our office moved. Now I do 42 miles per day. I also live in the largest city in the country land mass wise. You can't go anywhere in my city that isn't a 20min drive.
Yep, Jacksonville is big for sure, third largest (area wise) in the (this) country.
