STX Rules and Setup Questions
Any thoughts on bumping up to 255s for the new 2017s with the 4.3 rear ended gear?

Ill be running 255 RE71R's this year on my '13. I would think they would be slightly better on the '17s with the 4.3.

While we're on the subject of 255/40/17 tires, I wanted to let you guys know that I have a set of RE-71s for sale in that size. I'll have an official for sale ad up soon, but for now, I can tell you that they were purchased in Sept 2016 and only have 12 AutoX runs across 3 events (3 heat-cycles). Tread depth is between 7/32" and 8/32", so if you're looking for new tires for the season, these will be in perfect condition for you.
I'm looking for $475 Shipped, so feel free to PM if you're interested and I can text pictures ahead of posting my ad. |

I recently picked up my 245/40 RE71-Rs for ~$547. A local Firestone was running a legitimate "buy 3 get 1 free" deal without any hidden fees or anything. And now I've got 4 extra bedroom decorations until spring.

That's what my BRZ is at now (had the 450's on my FRS), similar neutral behavior. Come drive it this weekend, I need someone to scrub in the new tires!

Hey guys, got a question, I have the gramlight 57extreme sp spec. They come in 9.5" +40mm. Im gonna say I don't fit into the STX class? Is that correct?

Yeah, STX has a 9" maximum width rule, and 265mm tire.
