NOLA/Biloxi Meet - Sunday, April 13th 2014

Sunday, April 13th, NOLA Motorsports Park @ 8:00am

Register for autocross here!

The old thread got too long and off topic. So let's keep it strictly business here in this one. If you want to say something to this crowd that doesn't directly affect the meet, just post it in the old thread. I want all the real information to be easily accessible in one place.

There is no longer a need to vote! We'll be starting the meet at NOLA Motorsports Park for autocross, followed by gokarting. After that, we'll eat... somewhere between New Orleans and Biloxi, then it's out to a night on the town for those willing and of age.

If we don't go to NOLA, I'm thinking the best place will actually be the Latimer Community Center parking lot, near the ol' mom & pop ethanol-free gas station we all went to during the meet in December. It's not as scenic as the beach, but it's not that hard to get to and it'll be much more likely to be hassle-free. More room to park too.

So Sunday agenda, time to meet, activities, etc?

Day cruise to NOLA for autocross/go karts/shenanigans?

Did the one parking lot ever check out? I just ask because I don't remember the center having that much space when we turned around in it.

Well first we need to decide if we're going to NOLA at all or not. Can't make a specific agenda without knowing that one huge detail.

But yeah, if we go do that, then pretty much exactly what you said. If we keep it in Mississippi, then meet, drive, eat, drive some more, wing it from there because it will probably be dark by that point.

That's the really really rough agenda I just came up with while typing this. I'm open to ideas, but first thing's first: to autocross or not to autocross?

EDIT: And I still haven't gone to scope that parking lot out. I will do that tomorrow, damn it. #GettingSerious

Nola is closer for me, I am 2.5 hours from nola, and I was thinking of going to the autox anyways.

Without the northerners, I'm guessing more are gonna lean towards Auto-X and karting.. Iirc that was the hold up last time with them driving halfway across the country to participate.

Yeah. But some locals voted against autocross too. But yeah, I think that's going to change it now.

Meets with out activities are boring! People who don't want to autocross can watch, which is still more fun than standing in a lot looking at static cars. Plus 55mph gokarts.

I am down for the autocross. I used to autocross an IS350 so wanting to see how nimble the BRZ is. I would also like to forewarn you guys that I am a bit of an asshole in karting. "If you ain't first, you're last!"
