The blizzaks feel really grippy and soft which makes it easier to crunch on the snow/slush. I recommend the bridgestone blizzaks over michelin x-ice. Cornering, turning and braking quality far exceeded my expectations on these blizzaks.

My pick between the two (I drive on local roads within North York/Thornhill/Vaughan) :
Blizzaks > X-Ice

Sorry Michelin!

First winter with the 86 and I went with Blizzaks; so far no problems at all. Tire feels soft and grippy. Happy with my choice.

Bridgestone is always the best cause it's Japanese
Jokes aside, I prefer Bridgestone & Yokohama tires over Michelin, hence why I went with the S-04's over the Pilot Super Sports.

Reminds though, when I was in high school....i used to have this white puffy winter coat and everyone would call me the Michelin man. Maybe this is why I avoid Michelin....I'm traumatized for life!

Bahaha Bridgestone is sugoi and Michelin is omelette du fromage.
Bibendum senpai still got game though.

No question that Blizzaks are better, but the downside is they're SO soft that you won't get as many seasons out of them.

Had them on my BMW a few years back and they were great.

I get new snows every winter and a few sets of summers every summer. The i3s just rated so high, I figured I'd give them a go. No idea who's rating these things, but they're wrong.
If it had my way I'd run Hakkapeliitta studded, but I don't live far enough north.

Sounds like someone has a plug for endless supply of rubbers.
How far north are we talking?

Could not agree more. I am very unimpressed with the performance of Xice 3. Literally can't get up some small hills if in reverse and if I have no momentum.

I have the non studded new hakkapeliitas and love them, getting them studded would bring them to the next level

Both my parents have Acura’s of the same year and pretty much run same chassis (mdx vs tlx) but my moms SUV with pirelli ice zero r are significantly worse than my dads sedan on Michelin Xi3
