Guilty of thinking most sti/evo owners are fan bois.

Most not all. I know a couple evo owners and they're not elitist dbags about it.

But it'd be hard to believe anyone can completely ignore the stigma I'm talking about.

I'm 50 years old and drive a '14 Silver BRZ limited. I wave and/or beep at every other twin I see....In over a year. ....none have beeped or waved back. And in contrast....my G37 coupe I traded in on this car had everyone waving and smiling back.... I don't get it?

I currently own 15 WRX, never once in ownership of WRX I ever get waved by a 86 owner. I even got provoked to drag race by a Scion (LOL douche). I don't wave to a BRZ owner because I don't bother, do you know how many times I wave to WRX/STI in my 15 mins trip to work? Tons, TONS.

I have been waved at and been waved to by STIs, WRXs, Evos, BMWs, Mustangs, Camaros, RX7s and 8s, Miatas, Genny coups, Eclipses, classic muscles/hot rods and many others. What I have not ever received is any acknowledgement that I even exist from the handful of Twins I have ever spotted.

I'm confused with the beginning xD but other than thst...it does suck when you try to wave to a fellow twin owner and they don't even look over at you -_-

How can you not admire the car that's exactly like yours?!

Beginning was in reference to the thread being resurrected to simply say what boils down as "me too".

To be fair the couple of close encounters I had were both older (and when I say "older" I mean freakn old) women that may very well not have even recognized that we had the same car.

Most I have seen have been when in the wife's RVR so I don't wave or anything because that is a "sweet ride bro" encounter at best and really creepy at worst.

I think we all can agree that BMW drivers are the biggest douche' bags on the earth. The base model gray 3 series drivers with team interiors are the absolute worst of them all.

I had a WRX, an STI and now a BRZ.

To previous points, WRX and STI owners are generally older, but the are almost 100% car enthusiasts. Not all BRZ/FR-S owners are because of their price point.

I also noticed in the Toronto Subaru Club, the BRZ section isn't very active because we aren't "a real Subaru"

Someone who gets a new STI and has done nothing too it; their car journal gets hundreds of views, and yet a BRZ owner who has done quite a bit to their car only gets 30-40 views.

I have made friends in the FT86 club as well as the Toronto Subaru Club because of the past cars I have owned. I value both just the same.

As for waving. I wave to every BRZ/FRS owner I see. Most of the time they don't wave back. I used to wave to WRX/STI owners, but they never waved back at me, so I've stopped.

Yep! Like being a bastard child. I had the same thing many years ago with the Eagle Talon. The Mitsu boys wouldn't give us the time of day because "not real car".
