My dash light doesn't work either. I would probably leave it off all the time anyway, but I would like to see it IRL at least a few times.

Mine never worked so I just wrapped it in black suede. Didn't care for it. Did the cluster hood as well.

I can dig that! I'm thinking of swapping for the silver BRZ panels. The faux carbon fiber isn't doing it for me.

I just checked behind mine and the wires leading to the dash light panel are intact as far as I can tell, but they go back into the dash and I'm not quite ready to dig that deep. I'm surprised how easy the panel popped of. Just a firm tug from the bottom. No tools at all.

The wires are easy to remove. The connecting point is actually right behind the head unit. Its a clip thats covered in some silver foam. Just undo the clip on the harness and the wire will feed right out and you can replace the trim piece while keeping it all whole.

Do I need to remove the head unit? I didn't look too hard but I couldn't see anything I could get to easily with it mounted. Since I don't have any replacement pieces I didn't see the need to dig that deep.

Yeah you'll need to slide the HU forward to get it out. It's not a big deal once you're ready. I think someone posted a picture on here about removing the harness.

I wanna do an experiment... Im thinking if you wrap this in a light colored alcantara material the light logo might still bleed through, and THAT would be pretty epic. Maybe not alcantara but a thinner material? Im gonna try this w a tshirt

Hey gang, I searched but couldn't find any good answers.

I'm thinking about getting some xpel paint protection. Should I let them know about the 10 series emblems being wired up/glowing? Is the wiring easy to remove/re attach?

I've had the xpel protection for my fogs and headlights for less than a year and like it. Good product... Not sure about the paint protection though

Sick deal on a Series 10

Just picked up #1294. Got an insane deal on it at a Yakima, WA dealership. I love this car! The paint reminds me of my 2002 Audi TT ALMS edition, Avus Silver Pwarl. Very sharp.

If you've ever been on the fence, get one now!

Yeah, now that you mention it, Avus Silver is close.

Congrats on the deal! BTW, how good a deal was it?
